About the studio

Independent by design.

DevCanopy is an independent software studio. It is small on purpose, and that constraint shapes everything on this site.

A studio this size cannot win by covering more ground than everyone else, so it does not try. Each product answers one question well: how did the sprint actually go, is management the right move, how are the engineers really doing, what broke when a vendor shipped a change. Narrow problems, taken seriously.

It is also why the products feel like each other. They are built by the engineers who use them, so the same habits show up in all four — the same layouts, the same controls, the same words for the same things. You learn the way they work once. The benefit is yours: moving between them costs you nothing.

The work is patient enough to get the details right and ambitious enough to keep growing. Nothing here is trying to be everything.

The approach

Software should feel considered.

Clear purpose

Each product answers one question well rather than ten questions vaguely. If a feature does not serve that question, it does not ship.

Sturdy craft

Accessible by default, fast on a bad connection, and honest about its limits. The unglamorous parts get the same attention as the front page.

A point of view

Practical utility with a little personality — and never losing sight of the person on the other side of the screen.

See what it adds up to.

Three products are live today and open to try. The fourth is on its way.
